An event check-in kiosk is a self-service station. It features a tablet paired with a badge printer. This lets attendees check themselves in and print a name badge on the spot. It avoids queuing at a staffed registration desk. Choose 2 Rent offers three models: the Event Kiosk Pro®, the Event Kiosk Plus™, and the Event Kiosk Ultra. Each is suited to a different venue setup and badge style. All three can use the event-registration software of your choice. They are also compatible with iPad or Surface tablets. They arrive preconfigured for your event.

An attendee walks up and looks up their name or scans a QR code. The kiosk then prints their name badge in seconds. Each kiosk combines four things. These are a tablet running the check-in app, a name badge printer, a network connection, and power. Choose 2 Rent preconfigures the tablet and printer for your software before shipping. On-site, you simply set it up, connect, power on, and start checking attendees in.

The Event Kiosk Pro® and Event Kiosk Plus™ are rentals. You rent them for your event and return them afterward. The Event Kiosk Ultra uses a hybrid model. You purchase and keep the custom-branded kiosk frame. The tablets, printers, and scanners inside are rented and returned. In every case, the equipment itself is rented. It arrives preconfigured for your software.

All three are self-service check-in kiosks that work with iPads or Surface tablets. They support custom branding and print name badges. They differ in shape, printing technology, and whether they can be rented or purchased:

• Event Kiosk Pro® is a compact recycled aluminum unit for a table or counter. It is built around a Zebra direct-thermal (monochrome) printer. It features DIY setup and is a rental.
• Event Kiosk Plus™ is a taller, fully collapsible aluminum station. It is built around Epson ColorWorks printers for on-demand color name badge printing in vibrant CMYK. This is also a rental.
• Event Kiosk Ultra is a freestanding flat-pack kiosk that needs no desk or counter. It supports both Zebra and Epson printers. This is the only one you keep, as you buy the branded body and rent the equipment.

Choose the Event Kiosk Pro® for compact, cost-effective monochrome printing on a table or counter. Choose the Event Kiosk Plus™ for on-demand full-color name badge printing. Choose the Event Kiosk Ultra when there is no registration desk. The Ultra is also ideal if you need printer flexibility or want to keep your branded kiosk. For a small or budget-conscious event, the compact Event Kiosk Pro® is the most cost-effective choice. For larger conferences and trade shows, the Plus and Ultra models scale well. You can deploy multiple units to add check-in lanes. All three are self-service, so attendees check themselves in regardless of event size. The main scaling lever is how many kiosks you run.

It depends on your peak arrival rate, not just your total headcount. The goal is to have enough lanes so no line forms when everyone shows up at once. This often happens right before a keynote. A good rule of thumb is to plan around your busiest 30 to 60 minutes rather than the whole day. Share your attendee count and arrival pattern with us.
